Story
Meet Malia although Malia is FIV+, that in no way hinders her from being the sweetest and most lovable kitty you will ever find! She can live harmoniously with any other pet! Malia is a quiet, sweet soul who originally hails from Kuwait and has perfected the art of calm companionship. She’s not loud or demanding—just softly present, with the sweetest little meows.Malia takes bedtime very seriously. Each night, after a long and stressful day of sleeping, she winds down by making biscuits all around the bed to properly prepare the space. She also likes to supervise meal prep, carefully inspecting her bowl, while food is being prepared to ensure everything meets her standards. An accomplished explorer, Malia enjoys investigating closets, curling up in laundry baskets, and watching the world go by—whether that’s kitty TV, the washing machine, or even video games.Malia has experience living around both cats and dogs, including an adult dog and a puppy. She really enjoys being close with other kitties. While she’s had to gently remind the puppy of her boundaries a few times , she’s also learning to tolerate canine roommates. If you’re looking for a serene, affectionate cat, Malia may be your perfect match. PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you! Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion.  Please note these are not pedigree animals and we have no way of attesting if any of them are hypoallergenic and as such cannot adopt to homes with allergies. ##2551774##

Story
We have had Amir since he was a tiny kitten, about 5 weeks old. He is a very healthy 7 year old. He is extremely soft and LOVES to cuddle. He'll sleep on you and sit in your lap all day if you'll let him. We have a yellow lab and they have been best friends for all 7 years; he plays with the dog all the time and sleeps with her too. We also have a male cat and they get on well. We also have a 3-year old child and Amir and her love each other. He lets her chase him around, never hurts her, and loves to sleep with her too. -We also have a 10-year old girl cat, and they have never gotten, which is why we are rehoming. It was bearable before, we would just separate them as much as possible. But now Amir is relentless with her to the point where she is urinating all over the house and they are always fighting. He is indoor/outdoor and must be in a home where he can go outside- and NO female cats in the home!!

These cats are in Fairfax, Virginia too!

Story
Sandy is a gorgeous white Persian long haired lady with blue eyes. Those blue eyes will melt one’s heart. Her life before coming to us was not great at all. Not loved or wanted after she grew out of kitten hood. We think she is under 2 years. Sandy is so sweet and delicate. Loves human attention such as petting and scratching. She hasn’t been with us very long for her true colors to come out but one can tell she is an overall great cat. We would like Sandy to go to a home experienced in grooming and/or caring for long haired cats such as Persians. Fur maintenance needs to be a regular part of her care.

Story
Casper is a very handsome 2 year or so, white Persian boy we are thrilled to have. We were sent a video of poor Casper looking for food next to a busy street. We knew immediately he needs a safe home and our rescue can make that happen. The stress of travel and change of environment caused Casper to come down with a URI shortly after he arrived. Very common. Well, he is healthy and ready for a loving family now. He is very sweet and gentle. Likes attention and to be petted and doted on. His fur is a little ratty due to neglect but with good grooming he will look stunning. Because Casper is a long haired cat we prefer he goes to a home with experience caring for long haired cats. Regular grooming is important for Persians as well as regular eye care. Fostered in Fairfax, VA
