Story
Manny is a stunning medium to long hair male cat rescued off the mean streets. He is safe now. Manny has the most fluffy ruff that surrounds his face. Could be some Maine coon in him. Part Persian. Not sure. Manny has never met a human or cat he does not like. He craves attention. Can be a bit needy at first. Boy, can he play. He needs a large space with a lot of activity. He was in a small apartment for a month and the family realized he has to be able to run around and explore. Extremely active. Manny needs stimulation so another active cat is paramount. He will do great with kids and probably a dog. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Story
Luke may only have three legs, but you’d never know it! This resilient boy doesn’t let anything slow him down. He loves racing around the house, chasing his favorite toys, and making the most of every day. Luke is incredibly affectionate and bonds with people right away. If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, he’s your guy—you can count on him to curl up beside you at bedtime, purring the whole night through.  Luke appears to be hard of hearing, but once he feels your presence, he’s all about the love and attention. While he may take a little time to warm up to other cats, he becomes playful, cuddly, and a wonderful feline friend once he settles in. Whether you’re looking for a solo companion or a new addition to a home with other cats, Luke is ready to steal your heart. PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion.  Please note, unless otherwise stated, these are not pedigree animals and we have no way of attesting if any of them are hypoallergenic and as such cannot adopt to homes with allergies. ##2762847##

Story
Meemo is a white blue eyed flat face Persian. She enjoys just hanging out with her person. Her coat is thick and needs daily combing and face cleaning like all flat face Persians. She is sweet, calm and chill. She was rescued in late February with many other exotic cats. Sadly this breeder and her sister of exotic cats( Persians, munchkins and minuets) down in Florida both became extremely ill with fatal diseases. One sister died and the other became disabled. The many animals they had were breeding among horrific conditions. I was notified by a person and drove 2 hours to check out what the situation was. Over the course of several days traveling there to bathe and flea treat all dogs and cats, the final tally we took in was 23 cats and dogs. They all were in terrible condition with internal and external parasites. They have been fed the highest quality food since that time. All cats have received PureVax cat vaccines, a rabies vaccine, dewormings, have been spayed or neutered, microchipped and tested for FIV/Feluc and heartworm( all were negative). He was transported up from Florida (by diesel) at the end of April. She is continuing to be fostered in Thurmont, Md. with the owner of the rescue who is a vet tech. She lives with other dogs, cats and her daughter Mia who is also up for adoption. If interested in adoption, please text 845-671-0345 to request an adoption application. You can check out more on this rescued group on Facebook.

Story
This long haired orange 1 year old beauty is truly a gem. She was rescued off the streets where she was dumped. All is ok because we have her now. Lia is the most friendly, active, loving and all over wonderful cat. If you are looking for an overly sweet ball of energy she is the right cat. The veterinarian office was raving about her when she was picked up She gets along with all cats. Because of her energy and active nature we want to see her in a home with another cat. She would be fine with dogs and kids. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Story
Toffee is a gorgeous, young female Himalayan we are thrilled to have with our rescue. Like many we rescue they are abandoned on the streets or else bought as kittens and then given away once they are not kittens anymore. Toffee is petite but as beautiful as one can be. She was initially shy but now that she has settled in her loving personality has come through. Once she is settled and fattened up she will be even more stunning. She would love a warm lap to snuggle on. She would prefer to be an only cat in a loving home. Tolerates other cats but can be bossy. We would like her to go to a home with experience caring for long haired cats or dogs. Her breed requires regular grooming. Fostered in Fairfax, VA
