This sweet black Irish Setter mix has a gentle nature, an affectionate personality, and just enough playful energy to keep life fun. While he loves romping around outside with the other dogs, he's also happy taking things at his own pace and soaking in everything around him. One of Jett's favorite pastimes is exploring the backyard in search of the perfect stick to carry proudly wherever he goes. He enjoys playing with the other dogs in his foster home and has a wonderfully social personality, though he tends to be a little more reserved than his brother. Once he feels comfortable, his loving and playful side shines through. Jett is a smart puppy who's already learning great habits. He is working on potty training and is doing really well. He sleeps peacefully through the night and is off to a fantastic start as he continues learning about life in a home. His gentle temperament would make him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, loyal puppy who enjoys both playtime and quiet moments with his people. With continued love, guidance, and positive training, Jett is sure to grow into an amazing lifelong companion. Story
Violet is a love bug to her people but cautious of others until trust is built. She takes her role as her family's protector very seriously. She is thought to be a German Shepherd and Golden Retriever mix. She was born July 25, 2023, weighs 53 pounds, is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, HW negative and on preventative. She sleeps all night in her crate and is house trained.  Due to Violet's rough start in life she will need a family with patience, allowing her to bond in her own time by giving her love, positive reinforcement and remembering that it's a journey not a race. Once she gains your trust she's likely to cuddle like a baby with her people, play with her chew toys and will love going on walks. Her ideal home is one where the mom or dad work from home or part time and has a doggie friend to play with. She does okay with respectful cats, but does try to herd anything that moves faster than a walk whether it is other dogs, cats or humans both young and old. She sees any type of fowl as a chew toy so we recommend a home without pet birds or chickens. A fenced yard and vet reference are required. We adopt in the DFW area only (within a 1 hour's drive from Terrell) as we deliver our pets to their new homes. You can apply for her here: https://www.terrellanimalalliance.org/application
