Story

jada was rescued from an atrocious hoarding situation deep in the desert of Antelope Valley. There is a ton of open space and drug addicts and tweeters set up shop. They accumulated 64 dogs that they didn't want and threatened to shoot them if they were not removed. Jada was one of pups rescued. She is so fun, loving and playful. She loves her walks, car rides and keeping busy with play and toys. Jada is also crate trained. She is around 8 months old old and weighs 34 pounds. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Story

Meet Nala! She is a beautiful, super sweet, goofy, playful seven-month-old puppy who loves to zoom and leap over everything (including other dogs)! She was rescued from the streets, so she needs a home where she can be supervised indoors while being outside in a secure, puppy-proof backyard, as she loves to go under fences and through holes. We believe Nala is half Italian greyhound, so she can run really fast! Sweet Nala is full of love and will knock you down to give you kisses and stick her whole head in your shirt and her nose in your ear and just smother you with love. When she tires herself out, she will fall asleep with her head on your shoulder. She has long legs like a baby deer and is a distinguished looking little lady. Although she weighs almost 30 pounds, Nala thinks she is tiny and loves to cuddle in your lap. She is energetic and loves to play, so she would do well with another non-aggressive dog. Once she trusts the other dog, she will play nonstop. Nala is still a puppy and loves to chew on everything, so she needs plenty of chew toys to keep her busy chewing on healthy objects. The puppy in her makes her want to chase cats so she is probably best in a home with no cats. Nala is still working on her leash skills. She is crate-trained and will go potty outside if you take her regularly; she is also pee pad trained when indoors. If you are looking for a loving, enthusiastic, energetic young dog, then Nala just might be your girl!

Say hello to Fiona, a sweet 18 pound, long legged, 2 1/2 year old Italian Greyhound mix rescued as a stray from Devore Shelter. This spirited girl greets life with a big smile—literally! She’s a big-time cuddler and an even bigger lover of life. Fiona is bursting with personality, loyalty, and love. She’s affectionate and obedient, always eager to please her people—but she’s also got a touch of independence that makes her extra special. Whether she’s zooming around with happy energy or resting by your side, Fiona is the best friend you could want. This little gal would thrive as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention she so deserves. Fiona is ready to be your best friend and will make an excellent companion to sit on your lap, cuddle and sleep beside you. She will be your best friend. He was so terrified in his kennel that he shook nonstop and eventually stopped eating. But the second volunteers brought him into a playgroup… he lit up. Now that he’s out of the shelter, Jax is THRIVING: Loves car rides Obsessed with other dogs (big + small) Super cat-friendly Non-destructive when left home alone Just a shy boy at first — but warms up fast with kindness Jax will do best in a home with another dog or a kitty friend (or both!)
