With time, care, and love, she has healed beautifully in foster and revealed herself to be an absolute delight. She started out at 18 lbs and is already pushing 30!   A Love Bug Through and Through   Ruthie loves everyone, but she forms extra-strong bonds with “her people.” She is already perfecting the art of being an oversized lap dog and gives world-class hugs. She’s a full-body leaner, a snuggler of the highest order, and a dog who truly believes that being close to you is the best place on earth.   She’s also a huge fan of sunshine, warm spots, and heated blankets. Rain, cold mornings, and being asked to pee in unpleasant weather? She will make her objections very clear. She is deeply committed to staying warm and cozy.   Playful, Goofy, and Endlessly Entertaining   Ruthie is a toy enthusiast who loves fetch and will happily entertain herself by tossing toys around. She also uses the couch as her personal booty-scratching post — a skill she demonstrates daily.   When she’s feeling extra energized, she may throw in some sharp little puppy nibbles to get your attention, but she redirects beautifully to her toys. She is actually quite good at playing independently and will zoom, pounce, and chew her way through her toy pile with enthusiasm.   Crate Comfort & Company   Ruthie sleeps in a super-cozy crate right next to her foster’s bed. Comfort is very important to her. She’s fantastic in the crate when someone is nearby. She’s improving with solo crating but still tends to bark and cry when left alone; she’s getting the hang of it slowly.   Potty Training Progress   Ruthie has come so far. When she first arrived, she only wanted to pee inside or on concrete. That first week was tough. But she has worked incredibly hard and is now doing so much better. She still has occasional accidents, but she’s learning quickly. She likes to use the same spot in the yard (as long as it’s kept clean), which will make teaching her a new potty area in her adoptive home very easy.   Her Daily Routine   6:30–7:00 am: Ruthie wakes up, stretches, and does her morning puppy yoga routine. She absolutely takes her time — she is reluctant to leave a warm bed and must be bribed outside every morning. Once she pees, she races back inside and climbs into bed with her foster for another hour or two of snuggles. She is the perfect lazy sleeping-in companion.   8:30-ish: Second potty break. Then it’s PLAY TIME.   Morning: After her nap and snuggles, she’s ready to go. Ruthie does zoomies, plays fetch, tosses her toys, and entertains herself for about an hour. She mixes bursts of play with lounging and chewing on toys. She’s equally happy playing alone or interacting with her people. She would love a dog friend but does well solo too.   Daytime: She alternates between naps, chewing toys, hanging out while her humans work, and short play sessions. She loves being near her people and enjoys having a steady rhythm to her day.   5:00 pm: Dinner.   Evening: More playtime, toy adventures, and cuddles.   10:30 pm: Bedtime in her cozy crate.   Out and About   Ruthie has been on many stroller adventures (until she outgrew it!). She’s visited the farmers market, an art fair, and a thrift store. She loves being out in the world and exploring new places. She’s met many new dogs, adults, and children and genuinely liked everyone. She may give a brief moment of pretend shyness, but it fades in under a minute.   Who She Is at Heart   Ruthie is resilient, loving, hilarious, affectionate, stubborn in the cutest ways, and endlessly endearing. She’s a sunshine-seeking, blanket-burrowing snuggle buddy who brings joy wherever she goes. She’s ready for a family who will continue her training, appreciate her big personality, and give her all the comfort she craves.December 4, 2025, 11:19 am

She is equal parts snuggly companion and adventure scout, and she is so ready to find a home that delights in her big personality wrapped in a compact, wiggly package.   Daily Rhythm   Potpourri keeps a gentle, predictable schedule that suits her well. Her mornings begin between 8:00 and 8:30 with a walk and potty break, followed by breakfast. She settles into a cozy routine afterward, usually snoozing on her bed nearby while her foster works from home. A mid-afternoon potty break happens around 2:00, complete with a treat. She heads out for another walk in the early evening between 6:00 and 6:30, has dinner at 6:30, and enjoys one last potty break at 9:30. She is crate-trained and sleeps peacefully in her crate at night when her foster is nearby.   Personality   Potpourri is a heartfelt mix of tenderness and boldness. She began her foster stay uncertain, but now she opens the door to each day with lifted ears and bright enthusiasm. She loves being outside, loves having somewhere to go, and seems to take particular joy in the moment she realizes “a new adventure is happening.”   She is a cuddler through and through. She leans her whole body into affection and will melt into a warm pile of Frenchie devotion when you pet her. She is also a velcro dog, happiest when she can be near her person. That said, she understands boundaries: tell her “bed” and she’ll settle when you need the space.   Indoors, she sleeps deeply and often, but the moment her foster stands up or heads toward the kitchen or door, she springs to life, ready to join in.   She’s learning commands quickly. “Down” is coming along well, and she’s practicing “sit” for leashing up, though her excitement to go outside sometimes gets the better of her.   With Other Dogs   Potpourri has done well with other dogs while off-leash but has some leash reactivity when out on walks, so she'll need a savvy adopter who can work with her on this challenge.   Energy & Play   She has bursts of enthusiasm in which she jumps, plays, or dives into a chew toy with gusto. But after five to ten minutes, she flops into her signature lounge mode. She loves a comfortable bed, a blanket pile, and a quiet room where she can nap away the afternoon.   Walking Style   Potpourri walks daily and does so with determination. Her gait is full of purpose at the beginning, but by the forty-minute mark she is visibly ready to head home. She pulls when she sees other dogs but otherwise focuses on sniffing, exploring, and taking in the world around her.   House Training & Crate Habits   She is fully housetrained and crate-trained. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night when she can see her foster, and she goes in willingly when it’s part of the bedtime routine.   Being left alone is harder for her. In the crate, she will cry or howl intermittently but remains safe. Her adopter will want to work on alone-time training with her.   What Makes Her Special   Potpourri is a queen in all the best ways. Confident, expressive, independent when she wants to be, and devoted when she chooses you. She adores snuggling under blankets as much as she adores stepping out the door for the next adventure. She is a little boss lady with a big heart.   A Favorite Foster Moment   Her foster loves the way she leans her whole body into pets, as if she’s handing over every ounce of trust at once. One moment she is bounding with excitement, ears forward, ready to take on the world; the next, she is snoring in a nest of blankets as if adventures were just a pleasant dream.   Potpourri brings character, charm, and a tender, expressive spirit into every room she enters. She’s a little queen looking for a family who will love her wide-open heart and join her on both the small and big adventures ahead.December 1, 2025, 2:13 pm

She’s the friend who steals the spotlight in every photo, the coworker who distracts everyone at Zoom meetings (don’t worry, she works for belly rubs), and the ultimate cuddle enthusiast.   Personality & Lifestyle Plushie is a happy, social butterfly who thinks every human and dog exists to adore her and honestly, she’s not wrong. She loves hanging with her dog friends, doing little zoomies, and then collapsing dramatically in the middle of the room like she just completed a marathon (don’t tell her it was a 15-foot dash).   She’s got the classic Frenchie charm with equal parts silly, stubborn, and sweet. Plushie’s not a big barker, but she is a big talker: her snorts, grunts, and squeaky sighs could easily qualify as their own language. She loves her walks, she loves her naps, and she really loves being the center of your world.   Home Life At home, Plushie’s got her routine down. She’s housebroken, polite, and enjoys lounging near her people which ideally is within arm’s reach for emergency petting. She’s been living with other dogs and gets along beautifully.   Why You’ll Love Her Plushie doesn’t just enter a room; she owns it. She wins over everyone she meets and has a knack for making the ordinary feel special. Whether she’s snoring beside you on the couch or showing off her frog-leg stretch, Plushie’s mission in life is simple: make people smile.   So if you’re ready to laugh every day, fall in love hourly, and never need another stuffed animal again—Plushie is your girl.  December 3, 2025, 4:50 pm
