She’s loyal, affectionate with her person, and full of personality. Lucy thrives in a calm, one-on-one environment where she can enjoy her space, soak up attention, and spend time outdoors. She loves to run and play, especially in a fenced yard or quiet natural setting. While Lucy isn’t comfortable around children or other pets and can be snippy when overwhelmed, she blossoms when she’s given the time and space to feel safe and understood.

Story
This sweet boy was found abandoned by one of our employees at a vacant strip mall in Newton County with no shelter from the sun and no food or water. He was thin, dehydrated and his gums were white, but even with all that against him he was sweet and looking for comfort. Animal Control came out and picked him up and held him for a couple of days until we could pull him into our rescue. Once we got him in the rescue, we were able to turn his life around for the better. He was full of parasites which is why his gums were white. We started his deworming & got him on some nutritious dog food to help him gain weight. We have determined he is about 7 months old and still a playful puppy. He loves being cuddled and playing with his stuffed animals. He is really smart, he already knows the sit command. He has tested negative for heartworm, will be fully vaccinated and will be neutered once he puts on some more weight. Despite the rough start he has had in life this guy is super sweet and loving and would make a great addition to a family. We are not sure how he is with other dogs but he is a SUPER relaxed puppy who doesn't even bark. An adoption application and interview are required for adoption. Please call the office to set up a meeting with Waffles. Located in Covington, Ga. 770-787-4899 (he will need to come back to us to get neutered, the rescue will cover the cost) Would like to find a foster home in the meantime so this baby doesn't grow up in a kennel.

Story
Bruiser was picked up by Newton Co. Animal Control over a month ago. No one came to claim him and nor did he get adopted. Then after a month in a loud kennel he started have a mental decline & became depressed & it showed when he went out to play. He didn’t want to be with other dogs & didn’t want to play. The decision was made that he had to be out by Monday or other actions would take place. After seeing this poor guy, we decided to pull him into the rescue. He is a chill, older male boxer, about 5-7 yrs old, 65lbs, neutered, fully vaccinated & will be microchipped. When he came out of his cage, he was excited & definitely knew what a vehicle was because he jumped right up in the truck, laid down like a gentleman and enjoyed the ride. He knows the sit and shake command and is housebroken. He is not good with cats but is good with other dogs. If you would like to meet Bruiser please make an appointment with the front desk. An adoption application and interview are required for adoption. Adoption fee $250. Located in Covington, GA. Would be interested in finding a foster home in the meantime.
