Story
Waylon is a wonderful sweet boy who we took in as a foster the day after Halloween. He was super skinny when we picked him up but he just received a clean bill of health and has reached a healthy weight. He is crate trained, house broken, and knows his basic commands. He sits when he has your attention, and loves squeaky toys, and REALLY loves fuzzy toys. He startles easily and runs away sometimes but has shown zero aggression towards people, kids, or dogs. We have introduced him to children as young as 4, as old as 13 as well as other dogs in multiple settings. We have 4 other dogs in our home and his favorite is the fluffiest husky. We are actively searching for his furever home. We are willing to travel to get him to the best home because he deserves all the love and cuddles.

I was brought in to Colonial Capital Humane Society as an owner surrender. My family did not have time for me so they kept me outside. The shelter life is stressful so it’s hard let my true personality shine. I am considered dog selective because it takes me a minute warm up to other dogs. I came to CCHS after being found in flood water during Hurricane Florence. I was so skinny and sick, but CCHS nursed me back to health, and now I am strong and handsome! River is our resident superstar. He is a very shy boy but has come a very long way. River would do best in a calm home without small children.
