Meet Izzybelle, a lovable Frenchie who came to us through no fault of her own. When she first arrived, we were unsure why she was struggling, but after X rays we learned she has IVDD and spondylosis. These conditions may be lifelong, though her future family can choose to pursue treatment if they wish. HSDC does not currently have the equipment or funding for the advanced care she may need, but Izzy never lets that slow her down. Izzybelle is joyful, playful, and incredibly affectionate. She has done wonderfully with other dogs, children, and new people. She truly is the sweetest little gal and is ready to bring so much love to the family lucky enough to call her their own.

Meet Lt. Dan, one year old, American Bully Pocket, full-time heartthrob, part-time speed demon. He was born with congenital elbow dysplasia and a rotational deformity, which sounds very serious… but Lt. Dan disagrees. Surgery? Not happening. Wheelchair? Cool—more horsepower. Pity? Hard pass. This dude rockets around in his wheels like he’s late for a meeting with snacks. He’s pain-free, carefree, and convinced he’s the main character in every room he enters. Lt. Dan LOVES kids, LOVES other dogs, and will probably LOVE you, unless you’re a squirrel, in which case negotiations may be required. He’s a special-needs boy on the outside and a certified adventure bro on the inside, ready to roll (literally) into his next chapter. If you’re looking for a compact comedian with wheels and an absurd amount of charm, Lt. Dan is reporting for duty.
