This handsome pup is Sumo. We saw a Facebook post asking for help for this sweet stray, and we sprung into action! He came to us filthy, covered in sores, and barely able to walk. We estimate that Sumo is around 3 years old, and he is just a big lovebug. He enjoys his comfy beds, getting lots of scratches, and tasty treats. He walks great on a leash, and he seems to enjoy short outings. Sumo has begun his path to recovery, and now he is looking for the path to his forever home. We promised Sumo that the rest of his life, would be the best of his life. This pretty princess is Esmerelda, a 5 year old bulldog mix who came to us from a local shelter. She is hilariously short and chunky, very affectionate, and just an overall happy-go-luckly gal! She gets along with other dogs, walks well on a leash, and loves a cuddle. Esmerelda is your typical couch potato, with low to medium energy, though she does enjoy playing outside and going for walks! She is working hard to master her household manners and basic commands so she can be the best family dog ever. Esmerelda's perfect family is out there somewhere, you just need to find her! We promised Esmerelda that the rest of her life, would be the best of her life. My name is Gunther.  It means Warrior.  I’m a little older guy who’s been through some stuff.  When I came here, I was so sick.  I had an upper-respiratory infection, a urinary tract infection, hookworms, heartworms, knee problems…I was so tired…I could barely walk and I was about 20 pounds under weight.  I battled back because I am a warrior.  But they tell me I’m also a goofball.  I like laying on the couch with my people; naps are my favorite thing.
