Adopting a Cat
If you are looking for an altered, healthy, happy, socialized cat or kitten come & visit us! We would love to meet you & get to know you! We do have an adoption application . We will go over our adoption process with you, ask you some specific questions about your desires in your forever friend. You can meet every cat we have available that day. You can also get a better understanding of how important it is to keep your cat indoors! Theses cats MUST go to INDOOR homes ONLY!!!! Learn the importance of vet care & altering your pets. Our cats & kittens are ALL given great vet care & personal treatment- the cost to adopt a friend is only $65.00. This is to offset the cost of altering, 2 leukemia tests & vaccinations , 2-3 distemper vaccinations, 3 wormings and Frontline applied EVERY month! Along with any other special needs the cat or kitten might have!

About Friends of Feline Rescue Center

Who We are
Friends of Felines rescue center is a non-profit, cage free all volunteer feline care facility. We practice a no kill policy! Our goal is to adopt our kittens & cats into loving indoor forever homes. We receive no local or federal government funding. We operate solely on the kindness of private donations. If you would like to make a donation please feel free to call us. Each one is greatly appreciated!
Our rescue center is possible only because of the time, love & care the volunteers give, and their dedication is deeply appreciated!!!
Our volunteers help with daily cleaning, treatments & vaccinations; scooping litter boxes, brushing the cats; feeding meals; bottle feeding babies; refilling/restocking supplies, helping with dishes & laundry and so much more! If you would like to become a part of the rescue center please call.
It is a great way to meet new friends, get your share of kitty loving time & provide needed help!
Our Mission
To provide temporary home to orphaned, abandoned or abused felines. To carefully find loving, indoor homes where quality lifetime care is provided.
To sterillize all F.F.R.C. cats/kittens before adoption to help control problems associated with feline over-population.
To educate the public in responsible cat ownership!
We do not foster our cats! They all live together in a very clean & cat friendly center. It is actually very amazing to see it in action!! It was designed for both cats & kittens to have total freedom.
They can run, climb trees, play when ever they wish and snuggle up with a friend for a nice afternoon nap.
Our main area consists of a large office room, four smaller rescue rooms & a very large common area.
All have cat walks, trees for climbing, comfortable beds & toys galore!
We have three enclosures outside. One is called Kitty City, the largest is Cat’s Cove & the third is Cat's Cradle. Each home serves it’s own purpose, for example Cat’s Cove is for unadaptable adult cats who will live here forever.

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Defiance, OH.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
