Here's what the humans have to say about me:
There is nothing like the feeling you get when you pull an older dog from the shelter and once you get to know him you just think MY GAWD THIS IS THE PERFECT DOG - WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE????
And that is Ricky. 80 pounds of gentleness and love.
Ricky is in tune with people, walks nice on leash and is ready to learn some basic commands.
Our hearts just thumped when he kissed our two 6 weeks old puppies and tried to reassure Tex that the world was really a good place. He's just SO sweet and gentle!
Older big male dogs like Ricky are often overlooked at the shelters. They're quiet and unassuming and people just walk right by their kennels. But this guy.....man he's amazing. Don't overlook this big ol' dog!
