Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sammy was in desperate need of rescue at the East Valley Shelter
His left eye was swollen to five times the normal size and he could not close his eye and he was in horrible pain. We are NOT posting that picture...it is pretty horrifying.
So we got him, took him to the vet and had the eye removed - no choice. He had severe glaucoma and ocular trauma.
Sammy is now pain free and one of the happiest dogs on the planet. Since he couldn't see out of the damaged eye, he isn't bothered at all by the surgery.
He's about a year old and does need some training. He walks nicely on a leash once you get going but you know how these youngsters are.....very enthusiastic about going on outings.
Sammy loves people...he is quite the snuggler. He is good with other dogs but needs to tone it down a bit....like we said....he's very enthusiastic.
This guy will bring joy to you life. He's a good kid.
