My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi Everyone, My name is Abigail or Abby for short. I'm about 7-8 years old and recently lost my home, so now I'm looking for another special place to call home. Back when Moonsong first took me into rescue 4 years ago, I had been part of a very large puppy mill bust in Montana. I was pretty shy back then along with many others in my big pack, and even though I've learned to trust more during the years, I am still pretty cautious around people.

I am petite and sweet. I love my treats and really love my food. I take treats nicely and will sit for them, too. Right now I am at a nice boarding kennel where I get to play with other dogs during the day and Moonsong volunteers come take me for walks, too. I was really scared and nervous when I first came here after losing my home, but I am coming out of my shell more and more. I'd really like my forever home to have a playful furry brother or sister for me about my own size. Outside loud noises still scare me along with anything that moves too quickly, but traffic doesn't bother me much at all. I am house and potty trained and used to love to roam through the house and play with toys on my bed. I am crate trained and ride well in vehicles, too. I really enjoy my walks and don't pull too much, but I did used to pull my dad on his long board. Maybe you could take me skijoring in the winter? I’m game!

Notes on Abby: Abby will need someone who is patient and willing to work with her shyness. She is great with other dogs, but is still uncertain around people, especially men. She is doing better each day with the wonderful male handlers at the boarding kennel.
