My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little girl is Velcro. She is one of a litter of eight born December 23rd, 2017. The foster parents had fun naming this litter. All the pups are named after fasteners. The boys are Toggle, Belt and Buckle. The girls are Velcro, Snap, Zipper, Bow, and Button. At 2 weeks old Velcro was the biggest pup in the litter and still is. Velcro loves people and loves to snuggle. She is a social puppy and always eager to have a new adventure and meet new people.

Velcro’s mama is Joy who was dumped off in a rural area of Arkansas and made it to rescue just a week before her babies were born. Joy weighs 40 pounds. The daddy or daddies to this litter are unknown. Out of curiosity we did DNA test one of the puppies. The results showed 37.5% Labrador Retriever, 25% American Staffordshire Terrier, and 12.5% each Boxer, Bulldog and mixed breed. Basically complete mutts. These pups will be large dogs as adults and their forever homes should have fenced yards so they can safely run and play.

Velcro will be ready to go to her forever home the week of March 4th at 10 weeks of age. She will be spayed, microchipped and have had two to the three required distemper vaccinations.  Adopters will be responsible for her rabies vaccine and her third distemper booster on April 2nd. Velcro is a baby so her forever home needs to have the ability to get her out to potty every 4 hours through the day until she gets older.
