My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stop and Smell the... Roses! Meet Rosebud, the Sweetest Senior.
Rosebud is a 10-year-old, 68lb Bulldog mix who is the literal definition of `laid-back.` This sweet senior lady may have arrived as a stray, but she hasn`t let her past dampen her spirits. She is ready to retire in a home where the snacks are plentiful and the naps are long!

Her Personality-
Rosebud is a `velcro dog` in the best way possible. She is incredibly friendly with new people and her favorite place in the world is wherever her humans are. Whether you’re reading a book or watching a movie, Rosebud just wants to be nearby, claiming the comfiest spot in the room.

Compatibility-
Dogs: Rosebud has enjoyed meeting new canine friends here at the shelter! She’d likely enjoy a calm, respectful dog companion.
Kids & Cats: Her history is a bit of a mystery. Because she is a senior with some hearing and visual impairments, she can occasionally get startled. She would thrive best in a calm, predictable environment with companions who understand her boundaries.

Health & Wellness-
Rosebud is a `distinguished` lady with a few extra care requirements:
Cushing’s Disease: Recent bloodwork suggests she has Cushing’s. While she hasn`t started treatment yet, she may require lifelong daily management. We encourage her future family to chat with their vet about what this entails!
Golden Years Glow: She has some arthritis (don`t we all?) and would benefit from a steady pain management routine to keep her comfortable.
The Essentials: She is already spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on all core vaccines, and current on her flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
