A hunk. A hunk of burning love. 🔥🐶
Damon has been with us since August 2022, and frankly, we are baffled. Is it the brindle thing? Because apparently some folks don’t apply for tiger striped dogs, which is WILD. Who doesn’t want a dog that looks like he was custom painted by nature? 🐅✨ Brindle is beautiful, and Damon is proof.
Damon is a Mountain Cur and Plott Hound mix and the Elvis of dogs. Thank you. Thank you very much. 🎤💥 He’s charming, handsome, and has that “I was born cool” vibe. He’s a true guy’s guy. While he’s sweet with everyone, he really bonds with men and would love nothing more than being your ride or die. Shotgun in the truck 🚙, trail buddy by day 🥾, couch buddy by night 🛋️.
Car rides are his love language. Open a door and his tail starts doing laps. He’s also a total water dog. Hose, pool, lake. If it splashes, Damon is already in it 💦. He’s a champ at fetch 🎾, loves a good tug of war, and still knows how to power down and chill when the day is done.
Damon is smart, curious, treat motivated, and would thrive with continued training. A fenced yard would be ideal so he can run, explore, and show off his athletic side. He has been cat tested and does not react unless the cat runs. Then it’s game on. Please keep that in mind 🐱➡️🏃♂️➡️🐶.
Despite his long stay, Damon has not lost his spark ✨. He’s funny, affectionate, brave, and so ready to give his whole heart to someone who finally gives him a chance. Those eyes will melt you. That goofy grin will seal the deal.

Visit us (by appointment only) at our physical location in Blairsville, GA 30512. Please e-mail us your contact info. and which pet you are interested in. We will happily arrange a meeting with that pet.
We also hold adoptions most Saturdays from 10-4 at the Alpharetta Petsmart. It is located across from the North Point Mall. Also Petco in Milton/Alpharetta. Please e-mail us for specific dates and locations. Not all pets at our shelter are at the adoption event. If you would like to see a certain pet at an event, e-mail us and let us know which one you are interested in.

We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
