My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Damon Loves water!! Take him swimming or spray him with a water hose he loves it all!

While Damon is an amazing dog, he is not good with other dogs unfortunately, so he needs to be the only dog in the home. Likes to play ball and tug with a rope. He's very treat oriented. He's very smart and would do great in training.

He would make a good hiking dog, going for walks, companion or all around best friend! He is a big goofy boy who is full of love, cuddles and companionship. His fur is a beautiful brindle color. His eyes are amazing.

We love Damon, but Damon in the Shelter situation (which is stressful) does NOT like his feet messed with. An experience dog person who realizes slow and steady, trust and patience is the way to go, would be the perfect home for Damon.

More about this rescue

The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
