Gus is about 3 years old, fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and 100 percent ready to step into his role as your loyal sidekick. We have had him since March of 2025 and truly cannot understand why this guy is still waiting. Hollywood called. He stayed for belly rubs.
Gus is a lover. And yes, we will say it again. He is VERY handsome.
Our trainer, Thomas Whitliff, is convinced someone spent a lot of time training Gus. He knows his stuff and is eager to work with his person.

Visit us (by appointment only) at our physical location in Blairsville, GA 30512. Please e-mail us your contact info. and which pet you are interested in. We will happily arrange a meeting with that pet.
We also hold adoptions most Saturdays from 10-4 at the Alpharetta Petsmart. It is located across from the North Point Mall. Also Petco in Milton/Alpharetta. Please e-mail us for specific dates and locations. Not all pets at our shelter are at the adoption event. If you would like to see a certain pet at an event, e-mail us and let us know which one you are interested in.

The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
