Meet Rhett – The Gentleman with a Heart of Gold 🧡🐾
Rhett didn’t end up at Castoff because he did anything wrong. His people surrendered him — and while we won’t get into the details, let’s just say this boy deserved better. And now? That’s exactly what we’re fighting to give him. ✨
At just around a year old, Rhett is already a sweet, beautiful boy with the kindest eyes and the most stunning, velvety coat you’ve ever seen. 🐕🦺🌟 He turns heads without even trying — but it’s his gentle soul that really steals hearts.
Rhett recently graduated from the Colwell Rescued Detainee Program 🎓, where he lived with and was trained by a dedicated handler who taught him all the basics. Sit, stay, leash manners — you name it, he’s learned it. He’s got that perfect mix of young-dog energy and gentlemanly charm. 💼🐶
He loves people and is eager to please, and we believe with a little time and a lot of love, Rhett will blossom into the loyal, loving companion he was always meant to be. 💕

Visit us (by appointment only) at our physical location in Blairsville, GA 30512. Please e-mail us your contact info. and which pet you are interested in. We will happily arrange a meeting with that pet.
We also hold adoptions most Saturdays from 10-4 at the Alpharetta Petsmart. It is located across from the North Point Mall. Also Petco in Milton/Alpharetta. Please e-mail us for specific dates and locations. Not all pets at our shelter are at the adoption event. If you would like to see a certain pet at an event, e-mail us and let us know which one you are interested in.

The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
