Cotton sure is hoping that the third time's a charm in the home department! She was adopted twice now, for several months each. Cotton is about 5 1/2 years old and she's just as sweet as ever! She was returned once for not getting along with a neighbor dog and this second time for separation anxiety. Cotton will need a home with no other pets, unfortunately, but she's otherwise so well-behaved. She has always been great with us here, and never destructive when left alone, but she would love a home where there are family members around often. Cotton is a well-mannered, sweetheart of a dog that sits instantly when asked, she's housebroken, she's gentle with taking things and she's so silly and playful too! She loves running and zooming after a toy and once she bonds with you, she loves you forever. Cotton sure hopes you'll give her the home of her dreams! Call 609-693-1900 or email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. File#61612 2/17/24

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
