Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We think that Cash's new family better be prepared for all the stopping and staring people will be doing when they see this handsome guy walking around the block. Cash not only has dashing good looks but he is ready to be everybody's best friend, he hopes maybe to be your best friend especially though!
~ Cash is a fun and high energy boy that will need a family that can give him lots of exercise daily and will keep him good and active. ~ This guy is working on his basic manners and right now, he just cannot contain is constant excitement. His new family will need to sign him up for in-person training to work on his basic training and manners. ~ Due to Cash having minimal manners and being a big boy he is looking for a family consisting of a single person, a couple or a family with older children. ~ We think this guy will make a wonderful furry best friend for somebody!
Regularly Exhibited Behaviours Noticed: - High Energy - Mouthy - Jumpy - Under-Socialized - Lacks manners/self-control, working/herding type breeds characteristics
Explanation of Behaviours: - Cash is a very high energy dog and will need to have plenty of daily exercise, training, enrichment and attention to set him up for success. - Cash is under-socialized and his new family will have to help slowly and positively socialize him to the world around him. - His new family will have to work with him a lot on his basic manners as he can be very jumpy, mouthy and pushy at times. He seems to show these behaviours when in play or when excited or wanting attention. - Cash has characteristics that resemble those of working/herding type breed dogs. His new family should be prepared to provide training, activity and an environment that set these types of breed up for success by doing research or having experience on working/herding breeds of dogs.
This dog would benefit from: - Training and socialization - A family with older children - An active family - Working/herding type breeds research
Training needs/behaviours that need to be worked with for this dog: - Basic training - Basic manners; Jumping up, Mouthing, Self-control - Socialization
**For more information on any behaviours stated above, please check out our behaviour fact sheet: https://kwsphumane.ca/BehavioursandDefinitions
**Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
