My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a lovable, playful companion to brighten your days? Look no further! Liquorice is an adorable 3-year-old dog who is sure to bring joy to any household. With his friendly disposition and zest for life, Liquorice is ready to find his forever home.
Background
Liquorice's journey began in an unexpected place. As a puppy, he was found wandering the parking lot of a Brookshire Brothers store, searching for a loving home. Thankfully, he was rescued and has since grown into a wonderful companion.
Personality and Traits
Active and Playful: Liquorice loves toys and has a particular fondness for chasing balls. His energetic nature means he would thrive in a home where he can enjoy plenty of playtime.
Affectionate and Fun: Known for his goofy antics and love for hugs, Liquorice is sure to keep you entertained. His affectionate nature makes him a perfect cuddle buddy.
Friendly with People: Liquorice is a social butterfly who enjoys the company of humans. He is always ready to make new friends and spread happiness wherever he goes.
Swimming Enthusiast: If you have a pool or live near a body of water, Liquorice will be in his element. He loves to swim and would enjoy splashing around with you.
Considerations
Not Suitable for Homes with Cats: Liquorice's playful nature can be a bit too much for feline friends, as he tends to play too rough with cats.
Weight and Size: At 60 pounds, Liquorice is a medium-sized dog who would do best in a home that can accommodate his active lifestyle.
Conclusion
If you're ready to welcome a bundle of joy into your life, Liquorice might be the perfect match for you. His loving and playful spirit is bound to make any household happier. Come meet Liquorice and see if he's the furry friend you've been searching for!

More about this rescue

BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.

100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.

BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.

We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.

BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
