My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kenai: Your Future Furry Friend
Kenai is an adorable, 8-month-old yellow lab mix who is eagerly searching for his forever home. Fully vetted, Kenai is up-to-date on all his vaccines, microchipped, and neutered, ensuring he's ready to become a loving member of your family.
Kenai's Story
Kenai's journey began when he and his brother were dropped off as tiny puppies at a mobile clinic. Luckily, Barking Mad Animal Rescue (BMAR) was there to welcome them with open arms. Since then, Kenai has grown up in the caring environment of the rescue, developing into a sweet and friendly companion.
Kenai's Personality
Kenai is a delightful boy who gets along well with people and other dogs. His friendly nature makes him an ideal companion for families or individuals looking for a loyal friend. Although Kenai is not hyperactive, he is always eager to play and enjoys spending time with his human companions.
Training and Habits
Leash Skills: Kenai walks well on a leash, making him a great partner for strolls in the park or neighborhood walks.
Crate Training: He is currently undergoing crate training, which will help him adjust smoothly to his new home.
Playtime: Kenai loves toys and treats, which can be used to further his training and strengthen your bond.
Why Kenai?
Kenai is attentive and alert, always paying close attention to his surroundings. His playful yet calm demeanor makes him a versatile pet, adaptable to various living situations.

More about this rescue

BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.

100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.

BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.

We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.

BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
