Diana spent the first couple of years of her life living in a loading dock in Romulus. She made the most of it — finding safe corners to rest, exploring her surroundings, and charming anyone who crossed her path. Then, one spring day, she gave birth to seven beautiful kittens — Bruce, Quint, Sid, and their siblings — right there in that same dock. Just hours later, Diana and her babies were rescued and brought to safety, where she could finally raise her litter in comfort and warmth

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age-appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
