Peanut Butter and her brother Bankston came to Castoff Pet Rescue for what was supposed to be a short stay while their mom moved into a new home. We packed their favorite toys, promised them it was temporary, and waited.
That was… four months ago. And let’s just say, their mom’s phone must’ve fallen into the world’s deepest couch cushion, because we haven’t heard a peep since. 📵
But Peanut Butter isn’t the type to dwell on the past — she’s too busy wagging her tail, giving kisses, and spreading joy like, well, peanut butter on warm toast. She’s ready for a forever home that won’t ghost her, and will instead cherish her as the loyal, loving girl she is.
She’s a perfect mix of affectionate, playful, and smart — the kind of pup who’ll follow you anywhere and remind you daily that you’re her favorite human. 🐶💛

Visit us (by appointment only) at our physical location in Blairsville, GA 30512. Please e-mail us your contact info. and which pet you are interested in. We will happily arrange a meeting with that pet.
We also hold adoptions most Saturdays from 10-4 at the Alpharetta Petsmart. It is located across from the North Point Mall. Also Petco in Milton/Alpharetta. Please e-mail us for specific dates and locations. Not all pets at our shelter are at the adoption event. If you would like to see a certain pet at an event, e-mail us and let us know which one you are interested in.

The mission of Castoff Pet Rescue is to save and nurture homeless dogs; to match companion animals with loving, life-long homes; to foster responsible pet care; to control overpopulation in our community through spay/neuter programs; and to assist other shelters and rescue groups in any endeavor to benefit the animals. We believe that the same kindness, compassion, and generosity we extend to our two-legged neighbors should be given to our four-legged friends because they are not able to speak for themselves.
