My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Grey was brought in by his previous owner on October 21, 2025.

Why Grey might be the one for you:
Grey is a sweet guy looking for a loving home where he can feel comfortable and secure. Having come from a home with other cats, he may thrive best in a home where he can bond with feline companions. While initially shy around new people, Grey warms up with a little time and will happily accept petting from those he trusts. He has a soft spot for catnip and enjoys the occasional treat. Grey is in a foster home where his foster reports that likes to take a toy to a corner and then get another one and so on. Before long, all his toys are where he wants them to be. He likes lying by the window to watch the birds but does not show any interest other than watching from his safe place inside. Grey will be someone's nice cat. Could that be you?

At SDHS:
Grey has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
