My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Audrey , Smidget and Dollup are 3 month old, German Shepherd/Poodle sisters who are ready for a brand new beginning! Born into a hoarding situation, they’ve already overcome a tough start, and thanks to our partners at Washington Health Outreach, they were able to find their way into rescue.  Now safe and healthy, Audrey, Smidget, and Dollup are discovering the world for the first time... grass under their paws, toys to chase, and gentle hands to trust. They’re still learning that life can be full of kindness and fun, but each day brings a little more confidence and a few more tail wags. These girls are blossoming into the wonderful dogs they were always meant to be, and we can’t wait to see them continue their journey with families who will help them shine.

Foster Update: Sweet, playful baby Audrey is looking for a patient home that understands good things come to those who wait. Loving and affectionate with people she knows, Audrey is a smart, energetic puppy who has already learned "sit," comes to her name, is making good progress with potty training and crate training, and enjoys fetch, toys, and playing with dogs of all sizes and ages (as well as cats). She also loves cuddling on the couch, and will happily nap or entertain herself in a home office while her humans work. Because of her background, Audrey is fearful in new situations and shuts down around new people, so her forever family must be willing and able to work with her to build her confidence and security, and to give her the time, exercise, and mental stimulation she'll need to thrive. She is looking for a forever home with at least one other confident dog as a role model and friend, and a securely fenced yard where she can run and play. Audrey has a cute beard, wiry hair, expressive ears, a curious nature, and a lifetime of love and devotion to offer someone who is committed to helping her gain confidence, learn new things, and grow into her best self. We expect Audrey to become a medium-sized adult.
