Hi, I’m Likho. I was found alone in Los Angeles, pregnant and struggling to survive with a badly damaged eye. A kind woman brought me to safety, and just days later, I delivered my kittens. Thankfully, Smittens took us all in and made sure we were healthy, fed, and cared for.
My left eye is blind from severe symblepharon, most likely caused by an untreated infection while I was out on my own. Even though I’ve been through a lot, I am incredibly gentle and submissive. I may be shy at first, but once I trust you, I absolutely love being pet and will melt into affection.
Now that my babies have grown and found homes, I’m finally ready for mine. I’m a calm, sweet girl who wants a quiet place to relax, feel safe, and be loved. I don’t ask for much — just kindness, patience, and a soft spot to curl up in.
I survived so much on my own. I’m hoping the next part of my life will be peaceful, warm, and filled with the love I’ve always deserved.

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
