My Social Life Other cats: I can tolerate other cats, but I truly prefer to be the solo star. Dogs: I haven’t met dogs yet and would likely prefer a calm, respectful environment. Kids: I’d do best with older, cat-savvy humans who understand boundaries.
My Personality Confident, affectionate, and unapologetically opinionated. I adore being pet and will reward you with loud, motorcycle-level purrs—especially if you focus on my head and tell me how beautiful I am. I’m very food motivated, and treats are the fastest way to earn my loyalty. While I love petting, I’m not a big fan of being handled and may protest until the proper petting begins.

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
