My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together!

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.

A volunteer writes: Gillian is sunshine on a cloudy day, which is lucky for me because every time I've met her it's been rainy or windy and always gray. But you quickly forget about those things in her adorable presence. I see Gillian often in her kennel, almost always quietly waiting and watching the hustle and bustle around her. Her sweet wrinkly face and eyes follow you around beckoning you to take her out. She's estimated to be 6 years old and is a welcome break from the young, energetic whipper snappers around her. She settles next to me in a nook to hide from the wind and just props on my lap looking around. She seems a bit nervous but sticks close as she observes.

Gillian was brought in by police who didn't have any history on her. And so while we don't know where she came from, we can help find her future. Gillian is available to beginner homes. In her dog assessment she was uncomfortable with her bouncing would-be playmate, but hasn't met more dogs that she may be a better match with yet. She may have eye issues that the shelter can review with you in more detail.
