My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Winnie the Pooh’s Compatibility:
Dogs - Meet and greet
Cats - Not a good fit
Kids - Yes

Winnie the Pooh is a happy, lively dog ready for his next chapter in life.

This guy is crate trained, housebroken, and non-destructive. He knows Sit and Lay down, along with an adorable and unique trick, Bear, where he’ll sit on his hind legs with his paws up. He shows off all his tricks with a sense of pride. Winnie the Pooh is also a big fan of treats, and he sits patiently for them and takes them softly.

Out in the play yards, he’s so much fun. He loves to play and will gallop around the yard with joy. His favorite game is tug. If you toss a toy, he’ll leap up to catch it in the air and bring it back to you, asking for more. He also seems to enjoy watching the birds who often visit looking for treat scraps. While on walks, he’s a curious boy who likes to explore the scents and scenery of the walking trail.

Winnie the Pooh is an all-around great dog who would be the perfect fit for so many families. Stop by and meet him to see if he’s what you’ve been missing!

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
