My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shelby is one beautiful little pup! At close to 10lbs, Shelby is still growing, so we don`t know how much more she will once she gets to her full size (we think she will be a small to medium sized dog). Shelby is very friendly and sweet, and has the most lovely demeanor for a young pup. She loves her sis Lexus, so she gets along well with other dogs. With training, love, treats and a warm bed, SHELBY one terrific dog once she finds her forever person and home!

Shelby is at our Cottonwood Mall location!

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
