My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

No animal I know of can consistently be more of a friend and companion than a dog.” This reminds us of Brownie Boo, who will be a wonderful doggy best friend!

Brownie Boo is a big dog with an even bigger heart! She has such presence! Brownie Boo is two years old and weighs 80 pounds.

Why we love her: She is so gentle, calm and good natured and truly enjoys your company. Brownie Boo has a warmth and equanimity that makes her a joy to be around.

Brownie Boo is very easy to walk for a dog her size. She also likes to play and just chill out in the fenced yard.

She has enjoyed play dates with her shelter companion, Shadow. If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.

Brownie Boo is very affectionate and loves to sit by your side to be petted and loved on.

She will be a great dog to be at your side during the day and curl up at your feet at night!

More about this shelter

Cheatham County Animal Control is committed to finding good homes for the animals that come into the shelter system. We work with rescues and adopters. We are a no kill shelter but we rely on people coming in to adopt!

All of our cats/dogs receive vaccinations that are appropriate for the age and health when they are at animal control. We also spay and neuter all of our animals. The adopter is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care after adoption.
