My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

💖 Meet Spunky! 💖
Spunky is a darling little French bulldog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s about three years old—though she may be younger—and she lives up to her name in every way. Spunky is a bit bossy (in the cutest way!), and while she gets along with other dogs, she definitely has her favorites.

Spunky’s journey has been nothing short of miraculous. She was scheduled to be euthanized at the local shelter because she couldn’t use her hind legs. But once she came into our care, Spunky proved just how strong and determined she truly is. With medication, love, and time, she has made incredible progress. She can now walk on her own and only rarely needs her wheelchair. Watching her improve has been inspiring.

She has been spayed, fully vetted, and is up to date on all medical care. Now, all she needs is a family who will cherish her as much as she deserves.

🌟 Spunky is a sweet, brave little soul who’s ready for her forever home.
If you’re looking for a loyal, spirited, and loving companion, this special girl is waiting to meet you. 🐾💕

More about this rescue

The mission of the Raise the Bar-N Foundation is to rescue, care for, and provide compassion to abused and neglected animals, educate the community about responsible pet ownership, and provide opportunities to children and adults with disabilities. We strive to give the voiceless a voice.

My husband and I have been rescuing for years. We also do a great deal with the autism/special needs community. We are hoping to save more animals and help build bonds between animals and children with disabilities. My husband is a firefighter and ex-professional hockey player. I am an expert working with children with disabilities, especially autism. I am passionate about giving the voiceless a "voice".
