My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✨ Meet Kojak ✨
This incredible 1½-year-old French bulldog is nothing short of a miracle boy.

Kojak came to us from the local shelter, where he had heartbreakingly landed on the euthanasia list due to limited mobility in his hind legs. But the moment he arrived in our care, it became clear that this sweet soul had so much more life to live. Once settled and comfortable, Kojak walked beautifully — and our vet agrees that with medication, his condition should be very manageable. He certainly does not need a wheelchair at this time. In fact, he gets around wonderfully and has no trouble accessing all areas.

Kojak is truly as sweet as they come. He gets along amazingly well with all of the dogs in his foster home, and his gentle spirit shines through in everything he does. He’s one of those dogs who just melts your heart the moment you meet him.

He will officially be available for adoption in two weeks, as our vet would like him to complete a round of steroids and other medications before neuter surgery. We are accepting applications now, and once an application is approved, we are more than happy to hold this precious boy for his forever family.

If you’re looking for a resilient, loving, and absolutely adorable Frenchie to add to your home, Kojak might just be the one. 💛

More about this rescue

The mission of the Raise the Bar-N Foundation is to rescue, care for, and provide compassion to abused and neglected animals, educate the community about responsible pet ownership, and provide opportunities to children and adults with disabilities. We strive to give the voiceless a voice.

My husband and I have been rescuing for years. We also do a great deal with the autism/special needs community. We are hoping to save more animals and help build bonds between animals and children with disabilities. My husband is a firefighter and ex-professional hockey player. I am an expert working with children with disabilities, especially autism. I am passionate about giving the voiceless a "voice".
