Shake-n-Bake is a beautiful 1-1/2 year old female Hound mix who was brought to the HSOV on November 30, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who picked her up on Sunset Lane in Marietta Ohio. This little lady had been in the neighborhood for several days and thankfully is now in our shelter where she has warm blankets, toys, and plenty of good food and fresh water.
Shake-n-Bake has a brown short smooth coat with white markings on her chest, white paws, a long tail, and a lovely Hound face with dark brown eyes and short floppy ears.
This little sweetheart was understandably a bit bewildered the first few days in our shelter after finding herself in an unfamiliar place with so many other dogs nearby and people whom she did not recognize .. But she soon came to the conclusion that this was a blessing in disguise and that she was safe among these kind individuals who already loved her. Volunteers have learned that Shake-n-Bake loves 'good girl' treats when they take her outdoors for a nice walk.
Shake-n-Bake weighs 40 lbs.
Since she was not reclaimed, we will have Shake-n-Bake spayed and find her a fabulous home. She could be fostered while she awaits that procedure with an approved HSOV foster/adoption application. Shake-n-Bake would love for someone to offer her a foster home so that she could enjoy a real home environment instead of a shelter floor crate.
