Churro is as sweet as his name implies! This handsome old man is very easy going, and so good natured. He gets along well with all the other dogs. If you have another dog, we always recommend bringing them along to meet! Churro has old man peepers (possible nuclear sclerosis), and old man moles, but he doesn`t let his age define him. The home that Churro is looking for is one that will give him lots of places to rest, lite walks, healthy snacks and of course a lot of scratches!

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
