My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Muñeca was brought in by her previous owner on November 14, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Muñeca 974259 and Lloron 974260, a sensitive bonded pair looking for a quiet sanctuary where they can truly blossom at their own pace. These shy sweethearts require an adult-only, dog-free home with patient humans who understand that good things come to those who wait. Their journey begins in a single "home base" room where they can feel secure for the first month or more, as they find the big world a bit overwhelming. While Muñeca has already started showing her brave side by leaning into gentle pets, Lloron is a professional wallflower who will need extra time and understanding before he's ready for his close-up. If you have a calm heart and a spare room to help this duo find their confidence, they are ready to start their slow-and-steady adventure with you!

At SDHS:
Muñeca has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her new home!

Shy/Fearful Cat:Muñeca and Lloron require a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
