Hi! My name is Build a Bear and here’s a little more about me:
My Journey I was found wandering the streets of San Marcos on a rainy December day. Thankfully, I was friendly enough to be scooped up and brought safely into a foster home, where I quickly showed just how loving and resilient I am. Now warm, safe, and thriving, I`m patiently waiting to find my forever family.
My Social Life Other cats ? Dogs ? I haven’t met other cats or dogs yet, but I adjust quickly to new situations and experiences. Kids ? I’m incredibly kid-friendly and exceptionally tolerant—every interaction is a good one in my book! I approach the world with curiosity and openness, making me an easy companion for many types of households.
My Personality Affection-seeking, confident, and endlessly curious. I’m the kind of kitten who flops over dramatically just to ask for attention. I’m not shy around strangers and actively seek out love at all hours of the day—there’s no such thing as too much affection for me.
I Enjoy Crinkly mouse toys are my absolute favorite, and I never miss a chance to chase or pounce. Gentle pets on my head and back Happily rubbing my face on just about anything (including you). Following my humans around is one of my favorite pastimes Bonus points if you sing to me… I’m a big fan.
I’m Not a Fan Of Loud or sudden noises can make me a little jumpy, and new experiences (like seeing a TV for the first time) may take me a moment to get used to—but I bounce back quickly with reassurance and love.
What Makes Me Special I’m exceptionally friendly with everyone I meet. From vet visits to house guests, I greet the world with confidence and affection and never turn down attention. If you’re looking for a kitten who truly loves people, I’m your guy.
My Perfect Home I thrive in a home where I have humans to cuddle with, talk to, and play with. I’m perfectly capable of entertaining myself, but I’d be thrilled to have a playful feline companion or an engaged family who enjoys spending lots of time together.

More about this rescue
Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
