Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I’m Garnet
Professional mom, playful athlete, and now officially ready for my forever home.
I raised three kittens to five months old and let me tell you, that was a full-time job. Diapers not included. Now the babies are thriving, and it’s finally my turn to be the center of attention.
I’m a confident, social girl who greets visitors like they’re expected. No shyness here. I don’t want to be a lap cat or carried around like royalty, but I do love affection. Pet me, brush me, admire me. I will absolutely chirp to remind you if you forget. I’m great with kids, friendly with other cats, and playful enough to keep up with kittens half my size.
Playtime is serious business. Wand toys with strings are my favorite, though fair warning, I try to eat the string, so those need to be put away after we’re done. My other love is little mouse toys, especially when you throw them onto a table so I can bat them back to you. Yes, I invented a game. Yes, I’m proud of it.
Food is another passion of mine. I REALLY love it. Treats will win my heart instantly, and honestly, they make training easy because I’m smart and I remember routines quickly. Feed me once at the same time two days in a row and I will never forget.
I use my litter box perfectly, prefer clumping litter, and enjoy horizontal cardboard scratchers. I’m tolerant of handling, enjoy pets all over, and generally have an easygoing, happy personality.
One thing to know about me: I’m fast. Doors are opportunities. I will attempt a sneak escape if given the chance, but I’m easily convinced to return with treats, toys, or dinner. Priorities.
I’m affectionate without being clingy, playful without being wild, and confident without being demanding. I’ve done my mom duty beautifully. Now I’m ready for a home where I can just be Garnet.

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
