Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ruby Red 🐾
Ruby Red is a small, sweet mama dog who has finished raising her puppies and is now ready to be someone’s beloved companion. She has a gentle, loving nature and truly enjoys being close to her people—whether that means following you around the house or relaxing nearby.
Ruby is social and does well with other dogs, making her a great addition to a multi-dog home or a family looking for a friendly canine companion. She also has a playful side and enjoys engaging with her surroundings, especially when she’s with those she trusts.
After taking such good care of her babies, Ruby Red is ready to be cared for in return. She’s looking for a loving home where she can feel safe, included, and cherished.
All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped.

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
