Don’t let the spooky name fool you — Nosferatu is quite possibly the sweetest cat you’ll ever meet.
This lovable boy is incredibly social and absolutely adores people. If you’re nearby, he wants to be part of whatever you’re doing and happily soaking up all the pets.
Nosferatu is a total goofball with a curious streak. He loves to explore his surroundings, investigate every nook and cranny, and then come trotting back for affection once his adventure is complete.
He’s also very vocal and enjoys having little conversations with his people, offering plenty of commentary throughout the day.
He does great with dogs, his compatibility with other cats is unknown, and he would be a wonderful fit for a home with respectful kids who understand gentle interactions.
If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate, talkative companion who will fill your home with love and laughter, Nosferatu is your guy.
Nosferatu is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
