Hi! I’m Clover, and I’ve been a fighter (and a charmer) since day one. I was found all alone in a Detroit cat colony at just 2½–3 weeks old, screaming my little head off for help. I followed a kind feeder who made sure I got placed with rescue—and that’s where my glow-up began.
Because I was a solo bottle baby (and very much refused to wean on schedule), I’ve got a touch of only-child syndrome. I’m also currently in my teething era, which means I sometimes nibble hands. My foster mom says this behavior almost landed me coal for Christmas—but my overwhelming cuteness earned me a one-time Santa pardon and a spot on the Nice List.
I’m learning boundaries now with playmates my own age, which is important because I’m an enthusiastic (okay, slightly aggressive) player. I definitely need another confident kitty who can hold firm boundaries with me and keep up with my energy. I’ve enjoyed chasing my foster mom’s older cats and even the dog, but I do best with a proper playmate who speaks fluent kitten.
My favorite things include crinkle balls, fuzzy pom toys, rolling around dramatically, chasing everything that moves, and lounging like royalty in a hammock. Once I get my zoomies out, I turn into a total cuddlebug—I love being carried around, hugged, and reminded that I am still very much a clingy baby boy.
Because I’m still learning manners and have busy kitten energy, a home with older, cat-savvy children and people would be best for me.
My foster mom named me Clover because she said I was going to be her little good luck charm. So far, I think she’s right—I can’t help but make people smile. Maybe I’ll bring you a little extra luck too.
Clover is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
