Meet Zeus Zeus is a 9-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat weighing approximately 6 pounds who came to the Rockwall Adoption Center after being abandoned overnight on January 5, 2026. Because of the circumstances surrounding his arrival, we have very little background information on his past. What we do know is that Zeus has done well around other cats and dogs. Zeus is a senior boy who needs a little extra care right now. He is currently underweight, and our staff is closely monitoring his condition to ensure he is steadily gaining and maintaining a healthy weight. While his journey will require patience and continued support, our goal is to see Zeus regain his strength and enjoy the comfort and stability he deserves. Despite everything he has been through, Zeus remains a gentle, sweet cat who simply needs a safe, loving home where he can continue to heal and thrive. A calm environment and a family willing to support a senior cat's needs will give Zeus the best chance at living out his golden years feeling secure and loved. Zeus is available for adoption with a $30 adoption fee. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination and FVRCP booster, and has tested negative for FIV/FELV. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
