Basta Pasta is a tiny, dainty lap cat with so much love to give! She needs a few days to come out of her tortie shell, but once she’s acclimated, you’ll never find a sweeter or more companionable little lady. Basta loves sitting on laps, getting brushed, grooming herself, watching birds out the window, and playing with her feather toy. Aside from the occasional squeaky little meow, she is quiet and demure. She’s an absolute champ about claw trimming and vacuum cleaners. We’ve noticed that she’s a quick learner and eager to please. Training her to leave our carpets alone and use her scratching post was a one-day process, and now she makes a point of getting our attention to show off how good she is at using her post. Basta is a total people person and *thrives* at a dinner party. She’ll be sitting on your guest’s laps after five minutes, and while she might lean in to enjoy good smells from the table, she won’t get too greedy about trying to steal human food — cat treats and Friskies Shreds are her delicacies of choice!
This cat is FIV+ and will live a normal healthy and long life when provided with quality care such as a balanced diet and yearly wellness exams (like any cat). As FIV+ is not transmittable between neutered/spayed cats under normal circumstances, we are happy for FIV+ cats to mingle with FIV- cats in their adoptive homes.
This cat can be adopted with a friend or as a single cat.
