My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mary Louise Parker!

Mary Louise Parker is a beautiful 4-year-old calico girl with confidence, curiosity, and plenty of charm. From her very first night in her foster home, Mary made herself right at home, playing with all the toys, zooming around to explore, and snuggling up with her new human friend all night long.

She’s not the shy type. Mary is an explorer at heart and will need some interactive stimulation. Sweet and affectionate, she also has a big personality and a touch of classic torti-tude. She’s not afraid to let you know her boundaries and will occasionally give a little sass or talk back, so expect some memorable moments along with the love.

Mary will thrive with someone patient and understanding as you get to know each other and build trust. Once you do, you’ll have a fun, engaging companion who keeps life interesting. She would prefer to be the one and only cat in your life, soaking up all the attention herself.

If you’re looking for a confident, cuddly cat with personality for days, Mary Louise Parker might just be your perfect match.

This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.

More about this rescue

Our rescue group was formed in December 2007, but all our Board Members have had extensive experience rescuing and working with abandoned animals. We often work with other rescue organizations to find appropriate and safe foster and adoptive homes for our pet clients. We regularly go to areas with abandoned animals and collect them. The animals are taken to a licensed veterinarian examined, treated and spayed or neutered. Every effort is made to work with the animal and our foster and adoptive families to find a suitable forever home.

For those animals who are truly wild and feral, we release the animal in a safe and secure location after it has recovered from its medical treatment. We also work with certified wildlife rehabilitators to rescue injured and orphaned wildlife. Our organization is focused on improving the welfare of the abandoned animals in need of help in Brooklyn. In furthering that goal, our resources are focused on the animals.

Aside from a few minimal overhead costs such as our website and phone services, our entire budget is spent on animal care such as medical and food costs.
