Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A little bit about Bellini: - children unknown - cats / small animals unknown - dogs unknown, potential to live with select other dog pending successful dog-to-dog
She`s such a sweet Bellini! Bellini came to us as a stray and after such a rough period in her life, she can be a bit anxious. Her anxiety doesn`t apply to people though; Bellini adores them; and gentle scritches and pets are everything she wants out of life. She`s happy to meet new people, and is always on the lookout for some extra snuggles. She can also be a bit clingy and loves nothing more than to cuddle up with her person (or lay on top of them!) and will press herself into you if she wants more pets! There`s even a chance that Bellini could do well with another dog in the home!
One thing that her new family should be aware of is that there are some regular doggy things that Bellini finds a little scary, like putting on a harness, passing cars, or squeaky toys. She`s already building up her confidence in shelter and would love a family that can respect her body language and understand she might need a little extra time to feel comfortable. If you want to learn more about this snuggle-bug, then come by and say hello to her today!

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
