My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cosmic!

Cosmic is the definition of a cool cat. You can usually find her perched in her favorite spot looking out the window keeping watch over the neighborhood. She’s a wallflower that loves pets and is a gentle soul.

Cosmic will test your patience by taking her sweet time to warm up, but once she does she’ll make you feel like you’ve earned the world by being able to pet her. Once she is comfortable she’ll let her purr engine soar. She loves to chirp and meow when attention or food is wanted. She is very food motivated and knows her way around a treat or two.

Cosmic has never been around dogs but does love the companionship of other felines, and she loves to play with her fellow litter mates. She’s enchanted by wands with long strings and feathers. Cosmic would do best going home with a friend or to a home with a friendly resident cat who can show her the ropes and help her with her confidence. Loud noises and sudden quick movements do still startle Cosmic, so a family with older, cat savvy children would be ok but we think small kiddos may be too hard of an adjustment for her!.

Cosmic is estimated to be 9 months old. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV negative. Given the right amount of time, patience, and treats, Cosmic has the makings to potentially be a cuddly lap cat hovering close by. Consider adopting her today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
