LIZZY / Female / 5 years / 35lbs / Mixed Breed / Originally from Barbados / Fostered in Action
Good with other dogs, cats, and kids / House trained
Straight from sunny Barbados to snowy Ontario, Lizzy is an absolute snuggle bug with the sweetest, calmest soul. We don’t know much about her past but one thing’s for sure - Lizzy is so deserving of a loving home and family to call her own.
She’s the perfect mix of independent and affectionate - happy to entertain herself, but even happier being close to her people (or her dog friends!).
Lizzy starts her day around 8am with breakfast and a little backyard time before settling in to “supervise” while you work. If she’s not curled up in a cozy dog bed, she’s likely hanging out with her canine sibling. Lizzy enjoys her walks but can pull when she’s excited, especially if she spots a squirrel or bird. Those little critters are just too interesting to ignore! With consistency, she’ll continue polishing her leash manners.
One of Lizzy’s most adorable habits? Her daily toy parade. She has a toy bin and makes it her mission to take out every single toy and spread them proudly across the floor (it’s her version of interior decorating). While she loves playtime, she’s equally content lounging and soaking up cuddle time on the couch in the evenings.
She absolutely adores people and greets everyone with instant love and a request for pets, kids and adults alike. She’s ready to shower you with kisses! Lizzy lives with 2 other dogs and does wonderfully, though she appreciates slow introductions at first. Once comfortable, she can be playful and silly. She’s setting her hopes on the gold medal in zoomies at the doggy Olympics!
She’s house trained, can free roam responsibly when left alone, and while she’s not the biggest fan of her crate, she settles in at bedtime if she knows you’re nearby.
If you’re looking for a friendly, medium-energy girl who brings sweetness, snuggles, and a little tropical sunshine into your life, Lizzy just might be your perfect match. Apply to adopt Lizzy today! at www.caninehaven.org/dog-application.
Spayed / Microchipped / Vaccinations up to date
