My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the handsome Cassius! This charming Lab mix was born in December and is already proving to be a quick learner with a heart of gold. Cassius has already mastered the art of the "sit," knowing exactly how to use those puppy dog eyes to get the attention he deserves. If you’re looking to win him over, a simple cheek scratch is the fastest way to his heart—once you start, you'll have a loyal best friend for life! He is a total fan of a good snuggle and is looking for a family who will give him all the affection he can handle.

Cassius is a friend to everyone he meets, getting along with humans and dogs of all sizes (though we aren't sure how he feels about cats just yet). ‍ He is current on vaccines, microchipped, and his neuter is already scheduled. As he continues to grow, he’ll need his forever family to provide patient guidance as he masters his potty, kennel, and leash training. ‍

With his smart mind and loving nature, Cassius is ready to become the ultimate addition to your home!

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

More about this rescue

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
