My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the loveliest girl in the pod! Sweet Pea is every bit as precious as her name suggests. This darling Lab mix was born in December and is the perfect match for someone looking for a devoted best friend. She is a gentle soul who truly values companionship; while she enjoys a bit of soft playtime, her real specialty is being a calm, comforting presence. If you're looking for a partner to join you for movie nights on the couch, Sweet Pea is already ready to claim her spot by your side!

She is naturally friendly and gets along famously with humans and dogs of all sizes, making her a versatile addition to the home (though her feelings on cats remain a mystery). She is current on vaccines, microchipped, and her spay is already scheduled! As she grows, she’ll look to her forever family for guidance in mastering her potty, kennel, and leash training. With a little patience and plenty of encouragement, this sweet girl is going to be the heart of her new home.

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

More about this rescue

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
